Hoppers in the genus Bladina are grass-feeders. Compared with many other Nogodinids, the wings are fairly long and narrow, often with sides that are close to parallel. The 19 species in the genus are distributed from southern Mexico to Paraguay and northern Argentina (Penny and O'Brien, 2000).
