Length: hopper in photo 5.5 mm to wing apex
Both Pintalia and Cixius species have three carinae on the mesonotum, while Olarius and its kin have five. In Pintalia the front of the head is quadrate, while in most species of Cixius it is rounded.
Another difference is that in Pintalia the wings are held more vertically, almost paralell to each other, while in Cixius the wings are held less steeply.
