Some of the important traits of genus Aneurus are: the head is as broad as it is long, or broader; the tylus is the same length as the juga, or longer. The spines at the antennal bases are short and sharp; the fourth antennal segment is the longest. The very short beak doesn't even reach the hind margins of the eyes. The scutellum as as wide as it is long, or wider, and its apex is rounded. Veins are not visible in the membrane.

The bug shown here measured 4.2 mm and was found under bark in deciduous forest early in March.
