The family Largidae goes by the common name Bordered Plant Bugs. It is a small family, with a mere twenty-one species found in America north of Mexico.

Largus succinctus is found on the leaves of oaks and other hardwoods, as well as on herbaceous plants. The nymphs are "a brilliant steel blue with red legs" (Arnett, 2000).
