The caterpillars of Scopula limboundata are not specialists when it comes to their diet; they feed upon apple, wild cherry, blueberry, clovers, dandelion, and other plants.
This species lives all across the eastern U.S. and Canada, as far west as Saskatchewan and Texas. The range extends into Mexico as far south as the Yucatán.
