Length of insect in the photo: from front of the eyes to the apex of the abdomen 9.5 mm; to the apex of the wings 11.5 mm
Genus Dicromantispa (8 species) is found from Ontario to Bolivia and Argentina. Mantisflies in this genus range in length from 10 mm to over 25 mm.
Michael Ohl comments about subfamily Mantispinae that it "comprises all of the typical, slender species without spectacular coloration."
