Podoscirtinae is a subfamily of crickets distributed essentially worldwide. It includes six tribes made up of numerous genera. The subfamily is absent from the U.S. and Canada, but widespread in the Neotropics and other regions.

Tafalisca is made up of 27 species and is almost wholly Neotropical.

Tafalisca lineatipes has been recorded from Jamaica and Cuba.
